From 1996-2006 I walked to work in London. In tube-station terms I went from Surrey Quays to Aldgate East. My new walk to work is from Surrey Quays to Monument. This was especially convenient yesterday as services on the London Underground were disrupted by strikes.
My new routine contains precisely the same walk to work until I cross Tower Bridge. Before, I went straight on, now I turn left and pass in front of the Tower of London.
For the last week, I have been trying out eateries near to my new place of work. Grazing is just down the street and was nice. Today I discovered The Walrus and The Carpenter pub which serves food upstairs. I had some Fish and Chips there today.
My new job seems quite interesting, but it is early days yet. I am still finding my way around the django which has already been built.
